Harvey Mason, Nathan East, Chuck Loeb, Bob James and challenge yourself at the concert at the Jazz Club continues to challenge each other to excel.
Hours of waiting to be let in dense crowds, sediment in the hunt for the best seats and then again an eternity of waiting until it’s finally happening: An experience that one really knows of teenagers, one of the coveted tickets to a concert of their idol have secured. If adults do such a thing, then probably only in expectation of a very special concert enjoyment, makes you forget all the pain, including a long journey a breeze.

The mere prospect of the all-star band Fourplay with four exceptional musicians Bob James (piano, keyboards), Nathan East (bass, vocals), Harvey Mason (drums) and Chuck Loeb (guitar) in this country once again live and especially in an experience small club to, had fans from all over Germany and neighboring countries mobilized and gives the Jazz Club Minden on Saturday, a sold-out house for weeks.

A life without music – for the four, all of which are among the most sought after live and studio musicians in the U.S., apparently as unthinkable as one without their fans. The most intimate contact with them cost Fourplay on Saturday to the fullest – right down to the triple encore, the audience had to ask the applauding vigorously for long.

With a fascinating combination of consummate mastery of the instruments, never exactly repeating, virtuoso sequences, the most beautiful harmonious coexistence and magnificent wit was Bob James, Nathan East, Harvey Mason and Chuck Loeb, the musical is always well in hand and worked here but loosely so wonderful packed with passion and unpretentious that it was a joy to follow her highly intelligent game. When they get together to play the balls to smile appreciatively, master degrees between the permeability and playful virtuosity and perfect in their solos to the limits of feasibility expend leaves the listener just astonished head shaking.

Even if the least nearly 72-year-old Bob James on stage shadow boxing exercises, the Tieftonspezialist Nathan East – not just one of the most incredible bass player, but also a gifted singer – Chuck Loeb in a minute-long solo drives on, until this most Although the end is wet with sweat, but will happily cheered, beaming. Or if drum master Harvey Mason, and usually quite calmly but wide awake, sitting behind his drum kit, commented sudden showpiece with a broad grin, and then to the delight of all sweeps over his drum phalanx.

Long after midnight, although the prepared set list is exhausted the energy but not mean. Without hesitation, again just three encores are drangehängt who have it and do it completely enthusiastic, cheering crowd completely happy. Just terrific.
